Sylate T 500mg Tablet contains the active ingredients Etamsylate and Tranexamic acid. It is used to control excessive bleeding. Etamsylate promotes platelet aggregation, enhancing blood clot formation, while Tranexamic acid prevents clot breakdown by inhibiting fibrinolysis. This combination works together to stabilise and maintain clots, reducing the risk of excessive or prolonged bleeding. Sylate T 500mg Tablet is commonly prescribed to manage heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), control bleeding during and after surgeries (such as dental, orthopaedic, or gynaecological procedures), and treat bleeding following trauma or childbirth. It also helps prevent and treat nosebleeds, gastrointestinal bleeding, and other conditions where bleeding control is needed. Sylate T 500mg Tablet requires caution in patients with a history of blood clotting disorders, kidney issues, or thromboembolic events. It may interact with anticoagulants and should be used under medical supervision during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, diarrhoea, and fatigue.
